Terms of Service

These terms are a plain-language starting point and do not constitute legal advice. They should be reviewed by qualified counsel before production launch.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dojiq platform, website, and related software (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, requesting access, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Dojiq is

Dojiq is software that automates trading strategies on brokerage and exchange accounts that you own and connect. Dojiq runs strategies, simulates them in paper trading, applies risk checks, and can place orders on your connected accounts when you enable live trading. Dojiq does not take custody of your funds and does not manage money on your behalf.

3. Not investment advice

Dojiq is a tool, not an investment adviser, broker-dealer, or fiduciary. Nothing in the Service is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions, your strategy choices, and the orders placed on your connected accounts. Past performance and simulated results do not guarantee future results.

4. Eligibility and invite-only access

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. During beta, access is invite-only and granted at our discretion. We may approve, decline, suspend, or revoke access at any time.

5. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You may not share your account or transfer it without our consent.

6. Connected brokerage and exchange accounts

You connect third-party accounts (for example Alpaca and Bitvavo) using API keys that you generate.
We strongly recommend trade-only API keys with withdrawals disabled. You are responsible for the permissions you grant.
API keys are encrypted at rest. You remain responsible for activity on your third-party accounts and for complying with their terms.
We are not responsible for outages, errors, rejected orders, slippage, or losses originating from third-party brokers, exchanges, market-data providers, or networks.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to breach security, reverse engineer the platform, disrupt the Service, use it for unlawful purposes, or access another user's data. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or put the Service at risk.

8. Subscriptions and billing

Paper trading is free. Live trading requires a paid subscription. Fees, billing periods, and any trial terms are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; by subscribing you also agree to that provider's terms. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.

9. Beta software

The Service is provided during beta on an as-is basis and may contain errors, change without notice, or be unavailable. Features may be added, modified, or removed. Do not rely on the Service as your sole safeguard; monitor your connected accounts.

10. Intellectual property

Dojiq and all related software, content, and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. You retain ownership of your own data.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will produce any particular trading outcome.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dojiq and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any trading losses, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dojiq and its operators from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your trading activity, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive will survive.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions about these Terms can be sent to the contact address published on the Service.
